Did David's leadership team consist of the seven mountains?

After a season of war, God gave David a season of rest from all his enemies (2 Sam. 7:1). David then proceeds to name his leadership team (2 Sam. 8:15-18).

"So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered judgment and justice to all his people. Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were the priests; Seraiah was the scribe; Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief ministers."

David's Leadership Team Breakdown

  • David was a worshiper (Arts & Entertainment) and judge (Government).

  • Joab was head of the army (Government).

  • Jehoshaphat was a recorder (Media).

  • Zodak and Ahimelech were the priests (Religion).

  • Seraiah was the scribe (which is the Count – Business & Media)

  • Benaiah was over the Cherethites (guards-Government) & Pelethites (messengers – Media & Education).

  • David’s sons were chief ministers (advisors/rulers- Family & Government).

As you can see, the seven mountains were represented in David’s leadership team. How does this apply to you?

What an interesting perspective... I've studied David a lot but I've not seen it in this light! Thank you...
